After a hard winter, leaning fence posts are one of the most common problems around Anderson. Frost reaches deep in central Indiana, clay ground holds water, and posts that were set too shallow get pushed out of line.
What to check
- Soil washed away from the base of posts
- Posts that move when you push the top rail
- Water running along the fence line instead of away from it
- Gates that suddenly drag or will not latch
One or two loose posts can usually be reset deeper. If many posts along a slope are moving, a repair that also steers water away from the line lasts longer. Use the form to request a free estimate.
